Current figures: - Federal: the US Code (60,170 sections), the CFR (222,251), Federal Register agency rules (196,237), US Statutes at Large as enacted, 1789 to date, across every bound volume GPO publishes, 137 in all (423,928), statute compilations giving an act's own text as amended through a stated later public law (80,232 sections across 2,556 acts; currency varies per document and is stated on every section, so a compilation is not certified good law), federal agency guidance from 51 named sources across 26 agencies (81,451, which includes the IRS Internal Revenue Manual: that is agency PROCEDURE and not law, and does not bind the agency against a taxpayer), federal administrative adjudications from 7 bodies, the FTC Part 3 docket, the MSPB, the DOJ Office of Legal Counsel, the NLRB, the SEC, the BIA and Attorney General, and the CFPB (100,920 decisions, served WITHOUT a verified doctrinal-currency verdict: no publisher in this family ships a structured overruling field, so treat them as retrieved text and not as verified good law, and note the NLRB slice is a bounded 2012-to-date window of a 90-year archive), executive orders and presidential documents since 2015 (3,643), the Federal Rules of Procedure (589), the US Constitution (74), the Sentencing Guidelines (1,281), US income tax treaties (173), and the Senate treaty record (1,476 transmittals, resolutions of advice and consent, and Treaty Documents). - Point-in-time CFR: GPO's published annual editions, 31 editions from 1996 to 2026 across all 49 titles, are in the index, counted by /coverage, and scopable with corpusType=CFR_ANNUAL (312,132 sections). They are the SAME regulations as the CFR observed at published dates, not additional breadth, so never add them to the CFR figure. A curated slice of Federal Register notices is served the same way under corpusType=FEDERAL_REGISTER_NOTICE (17,616 of 766,073 published, 2.30%, four operative classes by design, never complete notice coverage). - NOT covered, stated plainly so an agent does not assume otherwise: general case law is out of scope.
