Word add-in: troubleshooting & FAQ

The Vaquill AI add-in does not appear in Word. How do I install it?
In Word, open the Home tab and select Add-ins (on some versions, Insert → Get Add-ins), search the Office Store for “Vaquill AI,” and choose Add. If it still does not show, confirm you are signed in to Word with a Microsoft 365 account and that your organization allows add-ins from the Office Store. Restarting Word after install makes the task pane appear. Full walkthrough on the Vaquill AI for Word page.
I can’t sign in to the add-in.
The add-in needs a Vaquill AI account, separate from your Microsoft 365 login. If you do not have one yet, create an account first, then sign in from the task pane. If your password is not working, reset it at app.vaquill.ai. If sign-in still fails, email contact@vaquill.ai with the account email you are using.
Which Word versions are supported?
Word on Windows and Mac (Microsoft 365), Word 2019 or later on Mac, Word on the web, and Word on iPad, each with a Microsoft 365 account. Availability of specific features can vary by platform.
Redlines or tracked changes are not applying to my document.
The add-in writes native Word tracked changes into the open document. Make sure the file is a real Word document (not a read-only or protected view), that you have edit permission, and that the document is not locked by another editor. Close and reopen the task pane, then try the action again. If it persists, email contact@vaquill.ai with your Word version and platform.
Is my document data private?
Yes. Vaquill AI does not train models on your data, hosts on US infrastructure, and encrypts data in transit and at rest. See the Privacy Policy and Security pages for the full data posture.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
